remian是保持的意思

在同一语境里,stay表示维护原状态而静止remian表示在原状态的基础上保持而内部可以演变,一般都是只其在上一状态的残留. remain

remain 可作名词，“剩余物，残余”vi仍然是，依旧是，
stay表示继续处于某种状态

remain stay 两个词在表示“继续保持或处于原来的状态”时互换。
主要区别在以下两种意思：
remain“残留，剩余”
如：There are few pleasures that remain to an old man.
人老了，剩下没有多少可以享受的乐趣了
stay“短暂停留”
