今日语法：

[size=4]格(case)是名词的语法范畴之一。[color=Red]名词有三种格：主格(nominative case)宾格 (objective case)和属格 (genitive case)。但名词的主格和宾格形式相同，所以它们又称为通格(common case)[/color]
1.属格的形式
名词的属格表示所有关系。它有两种不同的形式：一是有名词末加's构成（有 -s或 es的复形名词末只家 " ' "）二是有介词of加名词构成。[color=Purple]前者多用来表示有生命的东西，后者多用来表示无生命的东西[/color]。

如： child's play 很容易做的事
     the door of the barn 各色的门


2.'s 属格的构成方法

如：①：单行名词末加's
     the boy's mother
     男孩的母亲
  
    ②:复形名词末加 “ ’”
    two boys’ mother
     两个男孩的母亲

   ③：以s结尾的单行人名变为属格时候一般加“ ’s”
   如：Thomas's brother 托马斯的兄弟

   ④：几个词作为一个单位时候，‘s加在最后一个词的末尾
   如：the Queen of England's throne 英国女王的御座

   ⑤：表示各自所有的关系时候，名词末均加’s
     如：John's and Susan's desks
     约翰和苏珊各自的课桌

   ⑥：如不是这样，尽在最后一个名词末加's ,即表示他们共同的所有
   如：John and Susan's desk
       共属于约翰和苏珊的课桌

3.'s 属格常表示有生命的东西，但也可表示无生命的东西

如：①：表示时间

    a day's journey 一天的旅程

   ②：自然现象
    the moon's rays
       月光

    ③：表国家，城市等实体
    the city's parks
     城市的公园


    ④：表工作群时候
     the ship's crew
      船上的工作人员

   ⑤：表示度量衡及价值
   a mile's distance
    一英里的距离

    ⑥：表示拟人化
    death's door
     死亡之门

   ⑦：固定用法
   a stone's throw
     一箭之遥

4.of 属格的用法

如：①：用于无生命的东西
    the subject of the sentence
     句子的主语

   ②：用于名词化的词
   the livelihood of the poor
     穷人的生计

   ③：修饰语比较多的时候
   the very long and graceful tail of the old black cat
    老黑猫又长又美的尾巴


5.双重属格

如：①：表示部分
    a picture of Li's
      李的一张照片

    ②：表示感情色彩
    the big nose of David's
      戴维的那个大鼻子

    ③：双重格与of 属格的不同
    He is a friend of your  husband's
     他是你丈夫的一个朋友
   （强调你丈夫不止一个朋友）

     He is a friend of your  husband
       他是你丈夫的朋友
     （强调他对你丈夫的友好）
